Applications for the Apprenticeship Program are only available on the first Monday of each month. If that Monday is a holiday, applications will them be available on the following Monday. An application can be picked up at the Training Center from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM on the specified Monday only. Applications can be returned to the Training Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
The recruitment, selection, employment, and training of apprentices during their apprenticeship, shall be without discrimination because of race, color, religious, national origin, or sex. The Pipe Fitters Local 533 Education Training Fund will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 30.
1. The Applicant must be 18 years of age prior to applying for that month
2. We cannot accept incomplete applications or applications that are submitted without all of the following documents:
*copy of your birth certificate or other such proof of age
*copy of your high school transcripts
*copy of your High School Diploma
*copy of your DD214 if you served in the military
We do not make photocopies.
If you do not have the documents on application day, still come to the Training Center to pick up your application. You can return it another day when you do have copies of the required documents.
If you have a GED, you must still provide a copy of your transcript from the last high school you attended, a copy of your GED certificate and GED test scores.
3. Each conditionally selected Applicant will be required to take a test for drugs. Any such Applicant who has a positive test, or who refuses to take such a test, will not be admitted into the apprenticeship program. The drug test will be paid for by the Apprenticeship Fund.
